Here's a single 20 second image of the Kappa Crucis cluster region (Jewel box)
Canon 300D
Celestron C8 Newt
that's all the time I had before cloud rolled in-it was really meant to be the test image
This is a cluster that could benefit from a really long exposure I think

nice Seeker, a longer exposure will bring out the colours of those stars
this cluster would have to be one of the most colourfull of any I think.
I like the image composition well done.

this picture was taken at ISO 800.
Usually start at 800 and if I am feeling lucky will try and push it to 1600

I agree with all teh comments.. lovely composition of one of my favourite open clusters.
Is your collimation off a bit though? The diffraction spikes on beta crux don't appear to be centered on the star.
Can't wait to see your next effort with a longer exposure.
love the jewel box :)
nice one.
Took a shot of the cluster myself but its no where near as good as that! but then i dont have a 300d :P
