I just got this link from Matt Lovell of Telescopes-Astronomy, SA:
http://www.abc.net.au/science/starhunt/tour/outdoor/

Basic stuff with some hiccups but not a bad start. I think if they got enough feedback and some constructive criticism from the amateur astronomy community, it could grow into something great. The world needs a Southern Hemisphere "Sky at Night" IMHO.

It would be interesting to know how many hits the web site has had? A good starter aimed at school kids .

Probably not very many at all. They'd have to keep at it and do a decent job for at least a couple of years to attract an audience. It'd be worthwhile though. Once established it could be our thing (ours, as a nation I mean, shared with the rest of our Southern Hemisphere neighbours) - but that would take foresight and dedication and a wee bit of steady cash flow.
