Pic Du Midi - still King

As a young astrophotgrapher in the 80's I would dream of one day being able to take photos from this amazing observatory and most astrophotographers considered it the Mecca for planetary photography......well, these latest results show it is clearly still one of the premier sites for imaging planets, all taken on the one night.

A place very close to my heart. I used to pick up mushrooms with my grand father in the neighbouring woods as a kid.

Gary, if you ever go up there you have to order the "Garbure" which is the local soup. The pies and coffee are nice too.
