Folks, Sharptrack2 (Kevin) and I are meeting up on Sunday morning around 9:30am for a coffee and chat at Westfield Tuggerah. Any IIS members from the Central Coast are invited to join us. This is a general invite, so if you live on the NSW Central Coast consider coming along to meet in real time and talk about local issues, gatherings, all things astro, etc. Hope all the 'usual suspects' can make it and look forward to some new faces as well.

Location: Westfield Tuggerah Food Court (tables near the Muffin Break), we'll be easy to find. From 9:30am this coming Sunday.

Cheers
Glen

Thanks everyone for a good get together on Sunday.
Thanks Steve for the coffee and the feedback. :thanx:

Just to follow up on talks of observing opportunities for June, having now checked 7timer (and others) there appears to be no chance either of a trip to Bretti or even a Saturday night at Mangrove Mountain. Predictions are dire. Good for ducks, not so much for dobs. :(

Maybe July, but remember the election falls close to New Moon.

I seem to recall on previous election trips, that it is possible for people to vote in Gloucester. Shouldn't let that stop you if your keen. Actually that might be a good place to be to avoid all the election coverage, hard to get away from it right now.

Yes, great time chatting with everyone. Pleasure to meet Steve and his partner Debbie. :hi:

Very disappointed with the forecast... I'll take that one on me for buying a camera to try my hand at capturing some of what I see out there. :(

Alex is promoting a trip to Katoomba airfield, might try that if the weather holds out, to avoid the election quandary.

Back to reading about how much more money I will need to spend to keep going...
