I've had a good run of clear weather over the last 10 days and some of it has been excellent seeing. Typically the seeing improved as the night continued and it was usually pretty good by 10:30pm.
I have taken this image with 2 different cameras and combined the data. I have Ha and O111 data and some LRGB. I also have some good quality data from a TEC180 and FLI Microline 8300.
An SBIG ST8300M and an SX Trius 694.

Nice work Greg with combining data from two cameras
Just being curious-what is the integration time for this image?

Greg,
The challenge with this one is the very dim Oiii. That looks like Ha so far? Will be interesting to see how it turns out
Cheers,
Rick.

Very fine, Greg.

Thanks Rick. I knew that from your effort a while back. So I was heavy on the O111 subs and they were 20minute subs 2x2. A piece of cake for an AP 305 F3.8 to get the data!
I'd have to add it all up but its several hours. Yes I was happy to combine the 2 especially when one is a wider field of view than the other. That's fine when you go to the smaller size but when you go to the larger size you need to be very tricky indeed.
Thanks. Its a good area of the sky.
Thanks Mike. I am working on the final colour image now.

nice greg, I love this object and hopefully will get the imaging time to nab it with my ccd setup (I spent a long time with my dslr on this last season including NB).
looking forward to seeing the completed version.
cheers

Thanks Russell.
Going through my 13th processing version of it so far!! Not there yet.

This is looking good so far Greg, perhaps the best looking image of all your Honders images so far ...so what ever you are doing in your 13th processing job I hope you can maintain the quality, especially of the star shapes, that you have here

Looking good so far, Greg! Was there a specific reason for shooting with two different cameras? Were you capturing the data simultaneously and it just gave you more data more quickly, or were you exploiting particular strengths of the different systems?

Tks Mike. I have gotten the tracking and tilt issues out of the road now. Round stars at up to 30mins now are routine. I agree about protecting the stars.

Missed that one. Pretty sharp and flat field. Deep with some nice stars too. Well done.

That is a good looking Ha Greg. I did a lot of data on this object. The OIII is a real pain and very noisy.
Its a really interesting looking emission nebula. I note several people out there have put this in their planetary nebula galleries when in fact it is not such a nebula. Mind you it does look like a planetary.

Thanks Paul. I am happy with this data and the 8300 matches the Honders quite well. I got some good O3 data as well. The strength of 12 inch aperture and F3.8 helping there.
I am trying to add more data to it as well and got some CDK17 data last night but the moon even with 5nm filters seemed to wash it out too much. Perhaps some of it is useful though. I'll have to process it to see how much it cleans up with flats etc.
