I am offering for sale my one of a kind modified Canon 450D. This DSLR is unique, offering a debayered (Mono) sensor of 12.2megapixels, (@5.2 microns) with setpoint direct cold finger cooling of the sensor. Features and inclusions are:
Mono sensor
60W TEC cooling via copper cold finger behind the sensor, with PWM control to provide power efficiency.
120W Deep Cool Sintered Heat Pipe and Fan system, offering a Delta T figure of -27C.
Setpoint cooling regulation via a dedicated off camera power and temperature control box and cable. Temperature regulation is to ambient, so set your desired sensor temperature and let it run.
Custom Carbon Fibre Support Bracket to stablise and lock the cold finger and heatsink combo.
2" Bintel T-Adaptor for scope focuser mounting.
Orion 12V Camera power supply adaptor.
Teleskop-Express EOS 36mm Filter Drawer.
Internal MC Clear Clip-in filter sealed in to create chamber ahead of sensor.
Astronomik MC Clear sensor cover glass with argon sealed chamber.
Camera is provided in a sealed bag with dessicant packs, and easily dry gas (argon, etc) filled for imaging sessions.
This camera has been extensively tested, and recently used for narrow band imaging.
Not included in the sale: a 12v supply for the setpoint regulator - but any sutiable 6A supply will do if it has a standard 12V small male plug.
Filters are not provided, other than the ones built into the camera. Argon gas is not supplied but readily available from Bunnings.
Images taken with this camera can be seen in the top row of my Astrobin Public Gallery located here:

Note: Excuse my narrow band processing skills in those photos, I am a novice at that, but they show the camera's potential/capability. In the interest of full performance disclosure have attached a sample of stacked 300" Darks, Bias/Offset, and Flats. The few small sensor flaws (the result of the debayering process) can be seen in the Flats and are easily processed out using Dithering (via BYEOS and PHD2 or Metaguide), DSS or other software tools that apply cosmetic adjustment to images. Note that it is not unusal for mono sensors to contain some pixel flaws, including bad columns, even the high end CCD cameras can have them - importantly they can be processed out.

So what as I asking? What is it worth? I won't price in my development hours, debayering, cold finger build etc. Looking at just the equipment provided, and build and integration activities I have decided to offer this unique camera for sale at $675 plus shipping to any Australian address. You cannot build one yourself for that price, don't believe me, price the individual components.
The camera has to go to make financial room for my next project.
If your interested in this unique, functional, modified Canon450D, then PM me here on IIS.
