Yes - you have a point in Melbourne.

I will stick with my new 10" f4 Newt. for a long while yet.

The weather here is terrible for Astronomy -
almost every night is cloudy or has poor seeing.

yep, I'm seriously getting some cabin fever over here, I haven't been out since Feb. next 7 days is terrible.

Yes - I think Melbourne is too close to the sea.
We get turbulence in the air where the sea air meets the air from inland.
