I have done a bit of reassessment of my gear needs and need to offload a few bits and pieces so I will start with this.
Identical to this scope http://www.bintel.com.au/Telescopes/Cassegrain/Bintel-GSO-RCA-150-f/9-Astrograph--Steel-/601/productview.aspx apart from not having the Bintel label. Comes with a couple of extras that I have added, namely
- Vixen mounting rail on top (these scopes unlike the bigger versions, normall only have a single mounting rail)
- GSO collimation ring
Also includes the extension rings (1 x 50mm and 2 x 25mm) that come standard with these and I have the original packaging.
This was purchased new in September 2015 and only been used a few times. There is some marring of the bottom dovetail from the mount, but is purely cosmetic (shown in photo). Optics are fine.
These scopes do need collimation so if you are not confident about collimating an RC, think carefully before buying. I do have a Tak Collimating scope that I will put up for sale in accessories with the proviso that I will give priority to anyone buying this scope. See http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=145506
On the plus side with this scope, this is a substantial aperture that can handled by a relatively lightweight (eg HEQ5) mount.
In view of the extras (the ring alone costs $109 new) and it's condition, price is open to offers. If no serious offers made within 24 hours I will sell the Tak collimating scope and withdraw this item.
