Bahtinov mask template

G'day, just wondering about Bahtinov masks, I have downloaded templates for them do they need to be made from plastic? or can they just be a cardboard cut out from the template?

I stuck my template to the back of a CV cover. It's about .2mm plastic and easily cut with a box cutter
