Looks really good Geoff! There are a lot of faint fuzzies in the background, some barely smudges at all :P
Love the resolution within the spiral arms.

Nice colours, good detail and a lovely big field to swim around. Well done, Geoff!

Nice rendition Geoff. A bit of mottled blue noise in the background on my monitor though. Perhaps the relatively low hours is showing there.

Great colour in the galaxy. One of my favourite galaxies.

Excellent work Geoff. Simultaneously nice and deep, with magnificent colour both in the galaxy and in the foreground stars.

Best,

Thanks Colin--always fun trying to find the faint fuzzies

Thanks Rick. Glad you like it.

Thanks Greg. Yes it is a trifle noisy, but there is also a brightish (5m) star just outside the FOV which seems to be throwing some light around. have a look near the top for blue rays

Thanks M&T

Thanks Alan. I think careful processing helps a lot. I often have three or four long attempts before I hit on what's best for the particular image.

Thanks Mike. I like yellow and blue:scared3:

Nice detail Geoff. Good colour to in my opinion. There is a blue background but I suspect that flare in the top of the image is not helping in that regard.

Thanks Paul. Yes it's a mag 5 or 6 star about a field width away. Pain!

Hi Goeff,

A beautiful image from not a huge data set. Just shows what a nice dark site will allow! Of course, one needs to know how to take advantage and you certainly do. Excellent.

Thanks Peter. Interesting how times change. Ten years ago a 5 hour exposure would have been considered long. Now it's short.

Thanks Bob. Glad you like it.

very fine image Geoff. The detail is great and the galaxy colour is convincing.

Background looks to me to have a bit of colour noise that could possibly be removed by selective desaturation - minor issue though, since image is excellent overall.
