Hi again guy's and gal's
Well It had been a while since I collected any new data on my chip, so I thought the heck with It! and decide to take off up to Coonabarabran last weekend for a couple of days.
One email to H and he was up to It too whithout even a hesitation...this people is what's called "starving for photon's"
This is one of the shots I got, a first for me at the Rossette .
Exposures were 20min x 5 captured through the ZS 66SD/.8 reducer with the SXV-H9C and guided with the WOZS 110 on a G11 mount.
The skies were at least mag 7 and the seeing was 6-7/10 and I highly recommend this spot to anyone !

Another good one shot image Louie, keep at it and you will be an Alan Chen in no time!
Mag 7 naked eye huh..? Wow! I lament leaving my obsrvatory wich was under dark skies around mag 6 naked eye. Now I'm under Mag 4.5 on the edge of Canberra's civic centre... Oh the agony of it :(

Nice long exposures @ 20min, it shows with so much nebulosity visible. I prefer the NGC 2070 shot because it shows more veins of nebulosity, but that's just the difference in the object I'm guessing. Comparing to other shots on the web you certainly seem to have most of the nebulosity this guy has to show. Nice.

So you think 4.5mag is bad eh?you should try my 3.5mag Bankstown skies and you'll know why I was happy to drive 6 hours ! but hey, I've found the perfect solution .....double stacked IDAS filters !!

Thanks rogerg...yeah I know what your talking about, keeping that gaseous look yeah? I think some of the objects are that thick in dust and gas that the light that reflects back from them make them look solid.
I have no doubt that there is some massive reactions already happening in these emission nebs, unlike the reflection nebula that keep there gaseous look .

Thanks Petra and Andrew, glad you like It.
Hi Louie, another fantastic shot, great stuff.
I know what you mean about the skies at Coonabarabran, I was at the Warrumbungles on a geological field trip about 25 years ago and I can still remember how crisp and clear the skies were. It really left an impression on me and I,m glad nothing has changed by the sounds of it.
cheers

Louie,
Move over Hubble, move in Louie.
Again, considering what time you were shooting this, you've done amazingly well to capture so much detail.
I love the way the central cluster is offset from the rest of the nebulosity.
Absolutely gorgeous framing, again.

Humayun
