Hi guys,
For the past 3 weeks I have been in Iceland chasing aurora. We got a car and drove the entire ring road. We were very lucky with the weather, and road conditions were really great too. I think of the nights we were there we probably saw aurora over half. Two events were KP4-5 and this one while we were staying at Skaftafell was the most memorable. I was doing a time lapse at the time and didn't want to stop it, so naturally the more interesting parts weren't in the frame. It started very dim, so during its peak the subs were blown out (20 seconds). It was an experience I will not soon forget, the speed with which it moves, and changes brightness was astounding.
here is a link to the time lapse video that the frame was taken from

hope you enjoy
Pete.
