I am going to have to sell my fantastic ED80 APO Triplet (f6). This scope is the Essential Series white tube model.
The Explore Scientific 80mm f/6 Essential Series Triplet Refractor is a true 3-element apochromatic telescope capable of producing research-level quality.
Includes heavy-duty deluxe 2-speed focuser.
The Explore Scientific 80mm f/6 Essential Series Triplet Refractor uses genuine ED glass from Hoya Japan for superb quality and light throughput.
Enhanced Multi-Layer Coatings (EMD) are deposited on optical elements to boost contrast and eliminate light scatter.
The light shield slides back to make the scope compact for travel or shipment. I bought this scope from OPT Corp a couple of years ago just after they were introduced. It has only been used a few times as I have preferred imaging with longer focal length scopes. The times I have used it were impressive. It also comes with: two extension tubes, a 2" carbon fibre 99% diaelectic diagonal, and a Baader standard finderscope shoe which I added to replace the ES specific finder shoe (which is included in the sale). You can find detailed information from the OPT Corp site here:

There are numerous reviews online, here is one grabbed at random:

This ED80 APO Triplet is unmarked, in as new condition. I have all of the shipping boxes and packing material (in fact that is usually where it has been). It is triple boxed and well supported by foam as you can see in the photos. Can be shipped anywhere in Australia (cost of this will depend on your location, but reasonable courier rates are expected) - it weighs 6kg with all the packing for shipment.
To purchase one of these scopes new (assuming import) despite being on sale at the moment would cost you $800 AUD plus the international shipping.
I am asking $700 AUD for my pristine scope and local shipping is in addition (subject to your post code quote of course). Local pickup is of course an option - location is Lake Macquarie NSW.
PM me here is interested in this wonderful ED80 APO. Thanks for looking.
