Hi all,
Does anyone know the wiring configuration of a Moonlite focuser hi-res stepper motors and do you know if it can be used with controller options such as an Arduino and Easydriver v4? Also running through ASCOM, and how this could be done?
Thanks...

Andrew,
The Easydriver 4.x circuit is a bipolar driver. Any bipolar (4 wire) stepper motor can be driven by the easydriver. A unipolar (6, 8 wire) can be made into a pseudo bipolar by appropriate wiring. You can determine the pinouts and type by measuring the coils. There are lots of tutorials on line about steppers inc how to measure the coils to determine wiring.
I'm not familiar with the Arduino but it is probably the same.

The Moonlite steppers are compatible with Dave Trewren's Sharpsky controllers - Dave would probably have the answer to this question if you pm him.

Slightly off topic but...I have a spare Robofocus motor and controller at home and I'm looking to upgrade an existing crayford to a Moonlite. Can Robofocus motors be fitted to moonlite focusers instead of Moonlite's motor and controller units? Or alternatively can the Robofucus controller be used on the Moonlite hi res or standard motor units?

probably yes, according to http://indilib.org/media/kunena/attachments/1/HighResSteppermotor107.pdf
