Folks,

Not up the the standard deserving of this forum but it's what I got so here it is...

The seeing was pretty awful on the evening of April 5th but I'd setup my scope in anticipation. Sadly I was to be disappointed

Shown south up, with Io having transited already but whose shadow is still cast over the NEB, and Europa buried in the brilliance but whose shadow had just entered stage right.

Captured with my C11 Edge HD, TV Powermate 2.5x and ZWO ASI224MC from urban Brisbane.

Cheers,
Dunk

Bit of noise but still some nice detail present :)
Watched the single transit on Sunday night.

Yeah I did the best I could but LOTS of noise and this was a stack of about 2000 frames

We are at the mercy of the seeing...

I watched this visually... my first time with knowing what I was seeing. Celestar 8 w/6.5mm Meade 60HD. Was very inspiring, kept me captivated for over an hour. Your photo is a great reminder for me of what I watched.

Thanks Kevin! It's such a dynamic system up there, always something to see.

Good effort none the less. I find that I have to dial the focal length back when the seeing isn’t quite up to it. You must have been at the 6.5 metre mark for focal length?

Cheers

Thanks Dennis! Yeah it would have been around that mark, by the time I realised I should have dialled it back it was too late
