Hi all,

I've been having a bit of fun today. I picked up a Lunt LS50 double stacked from a fellow member yesterday which is intended to be a travel toy. I had a bit of a laugh getting to know it today and took some footage. This is a hundred or so frames stacked together and processed in PS6

I did rather over expose the core and forgot to re-orient the image with North at the top so forgive me, it is my first in Ha!

I noticed that the blocking filter is in poor condition - it probably has been since new and I've contacted Lunt to arrange a replacement. In the mean time, I can at least share some less than perfect images :D

All in all though, a very nice telescope.

Many thanks.

I have learned a lot in one afternoon, and know several ways to make the data better already. Happy to hear from the guru's out there!

Thanks, the double stack does an amazing job.

I have a ZWO120MM which is almost the perfect size for this scope. It would have been nice to get a slightly bigger frame around the disk to make the capture of large prominences easier and a bit of wriggle room for image drift on my poorly aligned mobile rig. Otherwise it seems to work splendidly!

Cheers. More by chance than design, but the effect seemed to make the image take on a 3D quality.

I can do the Proms so much better by talking two videos and having one tuned for each, but that is for another day :D
