252P without moon interference, the 8" F/4 image shows about 45 minutes of coma, inset shows a faint tail.
Plus a 50mm wide field, showing the 252P Lagoon nebula at bottom and Saturn at top.
252P was easily visible through 7 x 50mm finder, visually 30 minutes of coma.

Cheers,

Justin.

Gidday Justin,
more very nice images.
I am not convinced on the tail in the big green image.
I downloaded it as a jpeg and cut it to 32bit grey scale and log scaled the result. Adjusting the brightness/contrast did not show a good tail aspect in the direction you indicated. I think we need to use RobK's over exposure method to find the tail. If others have any long exposure single frames I would like to see them.

Now if only my clouds went away....

kind regards, Alan.

Thanks Alan! :)

Yes it's pretty vague, more like a slight brightening in that direction.

Cheers,

Justin.

Nice one Justin! I've been seeing a vague tail pointing west since mid-March, some nights clearer than others. If you saw it once you wouldn't put too much store in it but to get it night after night... well, the jury's not out any more.*

Cheers -

Rob

* Jury of one, just me.
