I have 10X50 and 15X70 binoculars. I use them hand held and I frequently use the 15X70 on a monopod.

I have seen binocular mirror mounts as an approach to using these and much larger binoculars. But I don't see them mentioned much in the forum discussions. So I am looking for any user reports of any type of mirror mounts.

Here are some examples.

What do you have?

What is your opinion. Good? Bad?

Looks like it might not be too hard to make one.

Thanks!

I never tried, but note that you will see a mirror image, which is unrecognizable, unless you use Skysafari as that app supports flipped maps.
And with the much larger field of binos compared to a refractor with a common mirror diagonal, this can be much more annoying.

And note that the flat mirrors have to be REALLY FLAT, so your bathroom mirror will show you a crappy image.

And front surfaced ... you will introduce multiple images if you are looking through the mirror glass.

Great posts guys.

Front surfaced. Had not thought of that.

Having a "mirror image" might not be an issue for me since I use a Newtonian now.
