After a great week of watching the dance of Mercury, Jupiter and finally the addition of the new cresant moon, tonight has been finished off nicely with an hour of seeing the Cats Eye Globular Cluster M4 mostly disappear behind the dark part of the moon.:) Against the moon M4 was quite difficult to see and averted vision was definitly the way to go, but was easier to see when still slightly away on the approach. Some sky glow from Perth and the low altitude combined with the moon glow all contributed to making it a little hard to see I would think. Finished the viewing tonight with a quick look at 47 Tuc and Tarantula. Who can resist? Weather here tonight is terrific and a glass of wine helps the eyesight:thumbsup: Cheers everyone.
