Normally my little Vixen is only used for autoguiding, however after seeing so many nice results from other IIS's I've been itching lately to capture both the Running Man & Orion in one FOV (my Meade just won't cut it).

I know - a little blurry, I can't quite get the collimation perfect and I was using a 0.63 focal reducer, but otherwise pretty chuffed with the end result.

DETAILS:
Vixen VMC110L
670mm F/6.3 (guided)
5 x 5min, ISO 1600
13 Feb 2016
Canon 600D (un-modified)

Cheers, Evan

Pretty good effort Evan. I see that the less bright stars are elongated in a 10pm to 4am direction. If that is trailing, that will make the image less sharp.

Besides the softness of the image it looks like it could be a reasonable wide fielder when you crack the collimation :)
Nicely done.

Thanks Raymo, you're right it was trailing. Still fine-tuning my polar alignment and guiding skills

Thanks Colin, I had my doubts initially, however I also tried it out on Eta Carina and early results look promising. Hopefully it can hold its own, particularly on the larger nebula :)
