red dot finder not workingbout red dot finder on meade lt not working? Have done the obvious things like changing batteries and trying to check alignment. Any ideas, in the country and no telescope shops close! Thanks Rae

Hi

I know changing the battery is obvious, but, are you able to test the batteries?

Either with a voltmeter or put in something else that is working.

I also suggest you post which RDF you have. Others with experience of that particular unit may have better suggestions.

I had the same problem when I did a battery change. Is the metal prong pushed against the battery properly? Mine was loose so there was no electrical current.

I had the same issue as Billi. Check the contact and see if it is loose.
