Hi all,
I'm moving on to other equipment.
In order to fund the new equipment, I've decided to sell my current set up.
For sale is a Meade 8" LX90LNT, which was purchased on December 6th, 2005. That is, it's 10 months old.
This baby has served me really well and is in mint condition, minus a few scuff marks on the 8x50 viewfinder.
I am preferring to sell the kit as a whole, but, I'm also willing to make the individual items for sale as well.
The entire kit would be well-suited for someone starting out with astrophotography or to someone new to astronomy and observing. For those interested in astrophotography, the only things you would need to supply are, firstly, your camera, and secondly, a T-ring for your particular camera; these can be had for around $35.
For sale:
Meade 8" LX90 LNT - $2,460
(Comes with Meade 26mm Plossl, Red Dot Finder (never used), 8x50 finderscope, standard diagonal and eyepiece holder, Autostar hand controller [updated with latest Meade Autostar firmware and patched with Dick Seymour's patch], Meade field tripod)
Meade Equatorial Wedge - $230
Bintel Scope Piggyback System - $110
(less than three weeks old)
Meade #541F AC Adapter - $75
(Comes with 8m power cord)
Meade Piggyback Bracket - $60
(for mounting a camera)
Meade #62 T-adapter - $45
(for mounting camera)
Meade #505 Connector Cable Set - $25
(for connecting to PC)
Or, you can have the whole lot for $2,830.
All this brand new would set you back over $3,500.
Bear in mind that the whole set up is ten months old.
I'll also throw in Bob's Knobs for collimation assistance and Bintel primary corrector cleaning solution.
I would prefer the buyer to be from Sydney, Canberra or somewhere in between; I would be more than happy to drop the items to your door, so you save on shipping.
For those that have not used or owned a Meade go-to telescope before, I will also be willing to spend time with the buyer and show them how the whole system works.
Regards,
Humayun
