Well, I'm off to Myrtle Park in Tas tomorrow to spend three nights with my family. Last time I was there we stayed in a tent but have now upgraded to a 14' caravan. Also, last time I was there the skies were crystal clear and as black as the ace of spades with more stars than you could imagine. Of course, then, I did not have a telescope.

I will, this time, be taking my 4", 900mm Skywatcher with me. I'd love to take my 10" dob but my wife thinks that's a bit too much. She just doesn't understand. I have also remembered to pack my eyepiece case. I have read here before where members have forgotten such items.

I am hoping for clear skies and a nice weekend.

Stay safe on the roads everyone and I hope the Easter Bunny is good to you all.

Regards
Scott

The moon was actually full last night and is now waning, in addition it is rising later and ater each night. For example on Sunday night it will not rise until 2112 EDT, and on Monday night it rises at 2151 EDT. Since astro twilight ends around 2030 you should get some good darkness on thide nights of between 43 minutes on Sunday and over and hour and 20 minutes on Monday.
