Dusting off the PixInsight notes today. This is an early LRGB combination, before any luminance or RGB progressing.
Taken at Leyburn in early March. 95mins of L and 45mins each of RGB.
TOA-130 & QSI-583.

Looking pretty good for the "raw" data, also lot a mammoth project.

Thanks Colin,
It was a one night effort last month - Friday was a write off to cloud & port. Saturday didn't look fabulous starting out, but finished up superbly.

Good to see an image from you David. It has been a while! The final version is very nice. The Fickle Finger is quite detailed.
Cheers,
Rick.

Thanks Eric - first image was an early combination as suggested by the Guru in his processing notes. Definitely worth the extra steps to achieve the final result.
Thanks Rick - I'm pretty happy with the detail. Seeing conditions were pretty good that evening and the cloud drifting in from the north seemed to split and go east and west of the Darling Downs. I'm trying to put together my scribble around your course notes, plus a whole lot of other notes I've made over the years into something that makes sense to me. Simple solution would be to actually do some more regular image processing so I didn't have to start from scratch every time!
