I am considering replacing the standard focuser on my 11" Edge HD OTA with a Feather Touch 10:1 focuser to improve the fine focus aspect. Has anyone done this and noticed a marked improvement in focus?

Yes and yes - just about everybody notices an improvement. I run one on my C14.

Just to balance out the force...I have a FT on my C11 and I'm fairly underwhelmed. The rubber knob on the C11 is big enough to get fine focus with a light hand. Of course the 10:1 on the FT makes it easier...as does a Bahtinov mask

Another alternative is the FT crayford for the rear cell; I have the 0.8" travel model which adds about 6cm to the light path. If you were wanting to use hyperstar the replacement for the main focuser is the better way to go of course.

I cut a hole in a Vegemite lid and slid it over the focuser. I secured it on with a rubber grommet. It works really well for fine focus and cheap.

Aaron,
Yes,that works well, but nowhere near the control or accuracy of the Feathertouch solution.
