252P Linear for 20-March-2016.
Wonderful clear morning! :)
My first unaided eye observation at 04.40 ACDT, showing slight blue tinge through the finder and can trace out just over 1 degree of coma.
The image is taken with a 75 to 300 zoom at 205 F/5.6.
In the image the coma traces out to 1.9 degree's! hard to believe a week ago this was the same view at 800mm tracing out 27 arc minutes....
Still to come 8" F/4 800mm image and animation.

Cheers,

Justin.

Fantastic to see a comet far exceeding expected magnitude instead of being dimmer. I will get out tonight and try for another image and binocular view.

I saw it this morning with a pair of HD 8x42 Binos, still not visible to the naked eye here on the coast though. I will take out a 4" ED refractor in the morning for a look.

Thanks David!

Hi Luis, a real surprise how rapidly its increased in size and brightness, a little over a week ago, only visible telescopically.

Hope you get a decent view Ian! I presume there's some light pollution your dealing with?

Cheers,

Justin

Yes there is some, but not so bad as to obscure it entirely.
I was able to get a look but that was the last fine morning we have had :(
