Initially I wasn't going to bother with doing a Hubble palette version of this object but the weather has been remarkably good over the last few days so I collected some SII. I think this image bears out the fact that this object looks best in narrow band. I could well be doing a bit of tweaking over the next few days.
Cheers

Thanks guys. All a matter of opinion I guess. I don't think any image is going to please everyone but I have to admit I prefer the nb.

Very well  The [SII] is particularly fine. Nicely taken and processed too.

I still like the Ha mono best, but the SHO version is nice too, Steve

Thanks Rick. The mono is certainly winning the most votes. I'm working on another variation of the SHO which I think is better than this version.
I really like the SHO version here, lots of detail and it's quite subtle.

I also like the mono version - very pleasant to look at and with heaps of detail. the colour versions are also very good, but the Ha just seems gentler on the eye or something.

Thanks Ray. You're certainly in the majority as everyone seems to like the Ha.

I like the colours of the SHO version. Your enhanced RGB is nice too but it's always a challenge to maintain the clarity & detail of the Ha moving into colour.
I'm doing a similar excercise with Thor's but haven't been able to gather the SII yet. Will post the HaOIII enhanced LRGB soon though.

Thanks Marcus. Making the RGB as good as the Ha is certainly a challenge whichI don't think I've ever successfully met. Looking forward to seeing your Thor's Helmet.

As you suggest, at times it's a difficult process combining all this bloody data into something you are completely happy with and getting NB to blend with RGB well is sometimes frustrating. Having said that your latest greeny NB version here looks pretty good actually, perhaps a tad flat looking :confuse3: but certainly lots of nice detail, Churchill's Cigar and those Bok's are just so cool
Overall nice work.
