Inspired by Scotts H Alpha image thought I would really push the limits with exposure to bring up the faint Halpha around M42.

Details
Canon 5DH, Orion 100ED with Astro Physics focal reducer so 640mm at F6.4, Hutech LPR filter, 3X20 min at ISO 400, corrected for flats with ImagesPlus, stacked with RegiStar, digitally developed with IP, levels in PS.

Wow Bert. Pink is the word. But it doesn't look unnatural. Some shot taken get that "red" blush to them that doesn't quite look right. To me your's doesn't look like that at all. Nice shot.

I like the original, but a darker background yet keeping the pink nebulosity would be nice. I know, I'm picky :)

Well done Bert. Im happy I am inspiring people to push the limits back and go deeper and deeper :) keep up the good work.
