A late repro. I got round to deblooming the original masters from a couple of years ago this arvo but struggled with the Luminance, so I reprocessed this as a straight RGB.
It won't stand up to deep inspection but I did enjoy playing with this.

I like that rendition David, quite 'punchy' in appearance considering !
Good colour & depth

Looking quite good David, pity you haven't had any success in using the Lum as of yet. More deblooming and it'll be deeper hopefully :)

Well Dave, seems clear the double diffraction pattern on the stars suggests it is out of focus a tad so if that wasn't the case, maaate, it could have been a de-blooming excellent image :P
Of course if you just get some (focused) Lum this year, you have the RGB ready, the RGB being out of focus actually helps in the LRGB combine

Pants..it is indeed out of focus. Funny what you have to watch out for and what you forget to look at.
Have been lazy with the Lum. With RGB I was able to debloom the calibrated masters without any damage, but not the Lum master. May need to go back and do it at the single sub level as I should have done in the first place.
Of course, rather hoping the Lum is in better focus..:(

Nice colour and the reflection nebula is nicely present. Should do well when combined with some quality luminance, David!
Cheers,
Rick.

Colours look great Dave! Shame your focus is a bit out but if you overlay this (as a colour layer) over some good luminance that won't matter.
Thanks guys.
I checked the luminance last night and the focus isn't pinpoint. Also, these were 5 minute subs and Maxim's deblooming function whilst good in most cases wasnt giving great results on the individual subs leaving too many artifacts so I will need to go shorter next time out.
Regardless though, I was really quite impressed with the amount of reflection neb coming out with just RGB data.
cheers.
