That is amazingly sharp.

We did 14 hours on this over the last couple nights (more tonight) in Ha OIII SII, so we have something in our mind to compare with. Your finest shock fronts are excellent.

Best,

Nice work, Adam! I have a pile of narrowband data on this object from a couple of years back. Every so often I have a play with it but I still haven't come up with an image that I like enough to post

Cheers,
Rick.

A very nice image but you lost the colour of the stars.there is a way to get the colour back colour saturation.

I have a version where I punched up the contrast and saturation on the blue stars, but wasn't too happy with the way it made the halos more obvious. It also doesn't seem to make much of a difference either :/

HI Adam
Next time Image a bit longer with RGB probable 25 sec it is not enough time to get the colour try 3min you will find a differance

Nice looking image, would love to surf through a high res :P I am guessing that it is as reasonably small and dim target, tried looking at the all sky plate images and it doesn't really show at all.
Nicely done though!

It's about 20' diameter, and didn't seem too dim at f/7. It's close to Eta Carinae so it gets overlooked a lot.

I just happen to have a set of 3 minute RGB frames, the star FWHM is huge compared to the Ha signal. I suppose a drastic minimum filter may shrink them down enough to be the same size.

nice shot but yes the colour seems a bit funny!
how did you blend it? Ha as Lum or did you blend it to the red channel? starizona have a good guide https://starizona.com/acb/ccd/software/ps_hargb.aspx

Lots of sharp detail there Adam, but I think there is too much of a salmon pink colour. If you boost the saturation of the pink (just the pink) you'll find you get a nice deep red. I can post an example if you want.
