Bird produced a great cut image of Callisto detail, and a full sized IR.
RGB from the 12th & 13th

Great detail on Callisto with the clouds in the north and the black spot, amazing !
(Funny how the brain interprets some things, on my monitor the white cloud makes it look like a crater rather than a sphere)

Lovely resolution there Phil.
Do you use a ADC for your imaging?
I noticed the tiniest hint of the red channel on the top LHS of your colour image. Maybe alignment?
regards

I don't have an ADC, can't see the need unless often imaging blue channel below 50 degrees + the only one I would buy is $5000 euro.
I'm sure they are selling plenty of the cheap ones in the northern hemisphere for planetary imaging as they are poorly positioned for the next few years.

Grouse resolution - best Ive seen of Callisto detail - amaizing !!!
So you have used EP in the focus train, is that correct - interesting ?
Yes correct, I have the EP sliding inside a Skywatcher adaptor which has been internally machined to a close fit and can be locked in position at the required distance from the TV 2.5PM to give me the arcsec/pixel I need.
In my case it is 8.5pixels to 1 arcsec. This is the max res of my 508mm mirror 0.23/2 = 0.115. Callisto being nearly 1 arcsec dia I estimate I would have 60 pixels covering it. Plenty enough to capture some shading seeing permitted. Bird said it is one of the best amateur Callisto images he has seen, praise from on high indeed!
