In recent times it has been a struggle for me to stop fiddling with equipment and just get on with imaging! Anyway here are couple of images of the Rosette nebula.

Narrow band crop is 3hrs each on S2, Ha, O3.
RGB image is purely RGB 20x 2min sub on each channel from light polluted backyard. I found the blue channel harder the process.

Taken with
AP155EDF at f5.3 with 155TCC, Apogee Alta U16M, Vario finder guide scope
on Mach1.

Fantastic Raki. Great to see those perfect tiny AP refractor stars.

In regards to the close up Rosette and while some other combinations do work and look good too, for me this is an example of the perfect narrowband colour palette, yes, even complete with the slightly magenta stars, in fact they complete the look of the image, made so famous by HST

Apart form the slight colour gradient, the wide field RGB Rosette is excellent too...beautiful even
