For sale is an EQ mount that was used for my solar telescope. It's a good sized mount to fold up and drag around with you when you don't need all the hassle of a larger computerized mount.
It is possible to use the mount controls to do solar imaging if you have a steady hand and a little patience (Axl style).
I can't remember the brand but it's similar to the Skywatcher versions. I'm pretty sure it came off of a Skywatcher scope package so it's probably very similar indeed.
The mount came with a tray at the bottom which meant you couldn't fold it away easily so I have added some chain to act as a spacer. The tray was used as a Frisbee and is no longer with us.
All you need to do with this mount is unfold the legs to set up and then fold them flat and throw it in the boot.
The mount has a threaded fitting that fits standard camera threads. I do have a narrow style GSO dovetail adapter that can be had for an extra $15 if needed.
I only bought this last year and it's pretty much new. I'm just trying to thin the herd and this is now surplus to my needs.
Anyway, Look at the picture for details and ask away if you have any questions.
Price is $70. Available for pick up from Cammeray.
Clear skies.
Ross.
