A late M42 for the season, but I wanted one with the core relatively "intact" and not blown out. So here it is
100 subs of 30 secs at 800ISO
ED80/Canon 1100D/EQ6 from my light polluted backyard.
This is only a quick stretch, I need to learn more about luminescence layering/masking to tease out more details.
Comments welcome!

Pretty good looking result. Looks a bit black-clipped though, I think there's more data in there yet.
It may be worth scaling down your images to a lower resolution so you don't have to suffer all the JPEG artefacts. I usually post mine about 1100x700 pixels and 50-60% JPEG compression.

Really nice Bo, there probably is some more info you could tease out in the blacks but nice tracking and dynamic range

Thanks Adian and Cam,
I had a bit of play and managed to get some more details out. But there seems to be a bit of sky glow between M42 and the running man (didn't use LP filter).

That looks fantastic I can't wait to start taking some pics of my own but I still have some ways to go learning about cameras yet

Do you have PixInsight? The DBE might help with the skyglow

Nice one Bo  it's too easy to blow out the core but you've not and still got plenty of fainter nebulosity there.
