I can also report that seeing was excellent last Saturday morning. The best I've seen in my short career in trying to capture the planets on CCD! (I thought it would never happen):eyepop:. I took these from the ASV site in Heathcote.
I'm just a newbie when it comes to processing so I'd appreciate any feedback on how these look. I can't get my head around the "art" of processing :confused2:. Thanks in advance
Regards
Domenic

NB: Colour ASI120 with C11. 20,000 frames. Used AutoStakkert, and post processing in PS on best 5% (Levels, balance, curves, and unsharpen mask)

They look good Domenic!
Colour seems about right, but the image scale is a tad small.
With the ASI224 you'd want to be at about f/20 with the 3.75u pixels to capture all the available info on those very good nights (or at least that's my take on it..)
Good job..
cheers

Good one Dom,

Powermate and also make sure your scope is cooled as close to ambient should help.

Also noticed that you captured 20,000 frames. That's a lot of frames! Not sure over what time this was. But keep to within 120 seconds and try and get a good balance between gain/frames per second to reduce noise.

Clear skies.
