I am now splitting the gear. If there's any interest in a particular part, PM or comment your interest. Dropped prices, and listed them below.
Up for a regretful sale is my Astrophotography rig. I've had this for just over 2 years now, and its only been used maybe a dozen times, if that. All you need with this is a Laptop to run your image capture and PHD software, and a camera, and you're ready to take pictures like what i've posted below. Those are my images taken with this rig. using a Canon EOS 60D.
Located south of Brisbane, and I am happy to drive a couple hours to drop off or meet with someone to save postage :)
Reason for sale: I've been struggling with illness for a couple of years and I just don't have the energy to take this out and use it as it deserves to be used.
The Gear:
$450- Orion f3.9 8" Astrograph - Relisted: Price Drop
$2000ono- Skywatcher AZ-EQ6 GT Mount - SOLD
- Orion Awesome Autoguider Package - SOLD
$50- 8" Astrozap dew heater - SOLD
$35- 4-5" Astrozap dew heater - SOLD
$35- 2" eyepiece/camera Astrozap Dew heater - SOLD
(I do not have the controller for the dew heaters as i used a mount hub pro, and this was sold before the decision to sell the whole lot)
$45- Bluetooth module to connect to an android device with skysafari to control the mount. (From coldknights on here) SOLD
$35- Canon EOS T-Piece - connects a canon to a 2" adapter for photography.
$120- Baader Multi Purpose Coma Corrector - A must-have for such a fast scope SOLD
$120- Farpoint Laser Collimator 2"/1.25" hybrid SOLD
$300- Baader Clickstop 8mm-24mm zoom 2" eyepiece SOLD
$75- 2" polarising filter - Good for looking at the moon or bright objects, is adjustable right down to 1%.
- Assortment of adapter pieces
Gear is all in good nic, apart from a couple things. There's a few scratches on the 2 weights for the mount as they were in the bottom of the case i used to cart my gear. And there's quite a big scratch on the OTA due to being supplied the wrong bolts for mounting the guide scope. (I went to adjust the main scope in the rings to balance it for the first time and when i rotated it around to move it, the bolt had actually sat all the way through and scratched the paintwork) It is cosmetic only, and doesn't affect the scope any which way and i have included a picture of the scratch. The photo looks worse than in front of your face.
