View Full Version here: : Green Flash
No names -No Packdrill....... Was listening to a academic person at a market place in the southern highlands NSW discussing the Green Flash at sunset.... he then stated that you could see a flash in the east as the sun rose but it would be in the reverse spectrum of RED...... been at sea for 39 years and seen the flash at sunrise.... refraction is refraction .... the sunrise flash is GREEN....... did not rain on his parade.

Quite right, Norm. everything I've ever read confirms what you say. N ever spotted it but copped a white flash one night when I walked into my ugly 16" of heavy timber! :) Green Flash remains on my bucket list:confused2:
Good Evening Uegene, You should see the morning green flash over the ocean at Nowra, you need a CLEAR horizon and keep a keen eye where the sun should appear (Even if you nail a sighting board to the balcony railing the day before ) you will get a split second green flash just as the sun is about to appear.:D

Late New Year's resolution; I will see the Green Flash this year! Thanks, Norm. You have convinced me to make the effort.
