At the risk of overreaching... I give you a repro of my 9-panel Eta Carina Nebula mosaic.
Each panel has 20 frames of 30 seconds. No calibration frames were used, though thanks to poor polar alignment the images are pretty effectively dithered (hence the 30 second subs :().
Taken from Wallaroo, just outside of Canberra with a 6" F/5 Newtonian, GSO coma corrector, Hutech IDAS LPF and Nikon D5100, all on an HEQ5-Pro mount. Panels were stacked in DSS and composited in MS ICE. Post processing in Adobe Photoshop.
