Hi all
I reprocessed my Ant Nebula shot I took last year and tweaked the contrast a bit more
http://www.users.on.net/~josiah/Antnebula.jpg
Note, despite the redness of the nebula, my EOS 300D is NOT modified, and the three exposures that make up the final image were only about 3 mins long each (ISO 400) with 10 inch F5.6 newtonian. Its not a well known object, there seems to be few images of it on the Web other than the HST shot of it like this one http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap010205.html

Hi Tornado,

Fine image, and the colour is intense! I thought the Canon 300D couldn't 'do' H alpha.

Regards,
Chris

Wow really nice shot Tornado.

I'd probably crop out the coma around the edges, but the centre of the image is really nice and sharp. And you're right, i've seen very few images of that nebula!

btw I met up with and spoke with Ghul over the last week or two.. he's invited me to come to one of your NAS meetings and talk about IceInSpace.. might see you there?
