Hi,
after helping host a observing session for a group from my office at Linden Observatory last Saturday, I decided to take advantage of the clear dark skies (WAY better than Sydney) and checkout some objects with my Bintel 90mm F11 Refractor.
I'd only looked through this from light polluted Sydney before.
Everything, M7, M6, the Lagoon Nebula...all our favourites, looked really good, very satisfying views.
Turning to M22 & 47 Tuc, I didn't really expect that much detail through a 90mm aperture, especially after viewing these objects from Sydney.
Wow, was I surprised ! Both these globulars showed fantastic detail. Pretty much being resolved completely through the outer areas and right down to where the more compact cores began.
The difference a dark sky makes! I lingered looking at them for some time, knowing I wasn't going to see this back in Sydney.
I think I love my telescope just that little bit more now.
cheers
