Hello All,

I have been interested in astronomy for the last couple of years. I have recently upgraded from an RC6 to a newt 8". Very keen to learn and meet other like minded people.

I mostly do my visual and imaging from my back garden in Perth. When i have the time i go out to a dark sky site. I mostly do visual astronomy but am slowly learning (and buying) what is needed for astro photography.

I have an NEQ6, 8" newt, Orion autoguider and a Canon EOS 1000D

Welcome Stuart, sounds like you have a really good set up there. you should be able to do some decent astrophotography with it.

What part of Perth do you hail from ? ,perhaps you would like to come along and join us one night. , we get together on an irregular basis when work and other commitment,s allow and you are more than welcome , keep an eye on the star party section.
