Hi
Wanted an image showing what the antennae galaxies may look like when they are more integrated (maybe a few hundred My into the future?). The tails are not as long, but the phenomenally active core looks quite similar to the antennae, both in general structure and colour.

Agreed this is not a really pretty picture region (lots of ordinary stars), but the goings-on are interesting. Thanks for looking. Regards Ray

Another great galaxy shot Ray, I like this one. I am glad you decided to image it too because I have considered doing this one myself but hey ya kana do'em all kan ya? :) It's a very interesting contorted scene and the two tidal tails and almost amalgamated nuclei are indeed reminiscent of a more advanced Antennae. I also like the spiral top right of the bright blue star.
Nice work

Very nice, looks like a pretty small galaxy, but you've got nice details and depth! Interesting galaxy(ies)

no, there is not enough time to get the all, but it was exciting to get a bit of data on this one. This needs a bigger scale than my 0.91 arcsec, so would be nice to see what your system could do.
thanks Andy. yep the central region is about 1.5 arcmin in diameter, so it really needs better seeing and a bit more scale than my system has.
thanks a lot Steve - appreciated.

Another superb shot Ray. Would be interested to know how you work out your color balance for those galaxy shots. You always seem to nail the dynamic range and the colors.

thanks Tim - I think it is amazing how similar this is to the antennae.
thanks very much Paul - appreciated
thanks Geert - was new to me as well.
thanks very much Graham - appreciated.
Very generous comment Marc - thanks. If any use, will put together a summary of the (current) processing and post here in the next couple of days

Quite a number of distant ghosty's in the background too, , Top Image Ray !
Amen. Often think the same thing - sign of masterful processing when it looks so "easy" and natural :)
