Imaged Jupiter & Saturn this morning in fair to poor seeing. My 685nm IR filter handles such conditions very well and that data resolves a significant level of detail. The GRS is going over the P limb while Oval BA is rotating into view from the F limb. The intricate detail in the wake of the GRS is well seen. The G and particularly the B channels suffered and detracted from the RGB data.

I also captured my first Saturn data for this apparition at 27 degrees alt and in flag waving type conditions although Autostakkert did a marvelous job in taming the conditions.

Regards
Trevor

Lovely images Trevor and a nice early Saturn. It must have been nearly sunrise for that one.
Cheers, Phil

Thanks Phil, yes, I left Saturn as long as I could to get it as high as possible. I recollimated after doing Jup and started tracking Saturn at about 18:30 UTC, it looked pretty crook, like a wildly waving flag. It got a bit better as it rose higher so starting capturing this data at about 19:00 UTC, about 5:30am CSST.
