So it was just that blown capacitor or something?
Nice image too btw, nifty fifty.

Great to hear you're back in action Raymo. I really wanted to have a crack at this last night but couldn't remember the NGC number to get there, LOL! I really find my myself wishing I could take nice wide field shots like this. :)

Thanks Colin; yes it worked fine last night. Luckily, a blown capacitor can
be seen, so just had to put my meter on it to confirm it was faulty.
75 cents, and hopefully fixed.
Thanks Aidan.
NGC 2244 for cluster at centre of Rosette Cam. Assuming that you have
a DSLR what is to stop you doing some widefield imaging?

No lenses Raymo. I've only got the 6" F/5 scope.

Get an adaptor and an old manual lens for your DSLR on ebay for
peanuts Cam.
SWMBO is never happy about anything to do with astronomy Pat.

Awesome news that your mount is working again Raymo. I too have a partner that is jealous of my time with the hobby. Occasionally though, she will say she likes a completed image, but not too often mind you.
Anyway, glad your back outside cursing clouds with the rest of us.
Bruce.

Thanks very much Bruce; I don't think I can recall SWMBO remarking
particularly favourably on any of my images.

Thanks Dunk and Brent; I imagine that the capacitor had been failing
over an extended period of time, hence my ongoing frustration.
Got down to less than a minute of error in six iterations last
night, sheer bliss.
