Spent last evening trying out the CCD again
The camera is a bit of a learning curve and I'm trying to find out what it can do as a base line before I try to tinker
So here's a couple from last night

Nice work Jenny!

After the news about that newly discovered galaxy near Sculptor I went look through my old pics trying to find it. Alas it was out of frame. It think it's off the left hand side of your pic probably :)

A bit noisy but quite nice...

Please excuse my ignorance. I thought CCD cameras were cooled, and
hence not as noisy as DSLRs, so why are these images noisy?

Because they are only 30 mins exposure through a mediocre sky.

Hey Jen, some flat field images would be a big boost to these images, there are a few dust motes visible. how many subs and and at what temp was this collected ?

-10.. 4x5 1x10 lights.
I was taking shots all over the place to see what was best for colour and intensity.

M1 was a failure due to a lot of blue in the pic which I think is lp from the local town.
Tracking was very good with overal rms of .19
