The Moon and Jupiter - New Years Morning

Quite one at home last night after a busy year.

Moon and Jupiter close to each other. Also a lovely line up of planets in the morning sky.

A relaxing way to start off 2016.

80mm achromatic refractor, Canon 600D DSLR and CS5.

Fine image, had a look at the 2 earlier this morning through the 5" f8 and a wide field eyepiece. Sorry now that I didn't set up to capture some avis' as the seeing was good.
