Synscan functions??

Having been told to press and hold the "escape" button for 2 secs in order to sync to a chosen object for purposes of starting an iterative polar alignment, I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any other things
one can do with the Synscan hand controller that are not mentioned
anywhere in the 46 page Synscan user manual.

I thought it would have been the "Enter" button but I've never done it myself.

It is escape for two seconds, the display flashes a few times and then you press enter to confirm. I use it to centre an object then I can slew to a bright star to tweek the focus and when I go back to the object it is still framed nicely for my astro pic.
