Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows of any resources out there where one could download CCD data.

I currently image with a DSLR and would love to have a crack at processing some CCD data before I take the plunge into buying one.

Cheers

Astrobin has public data pools: http://www.astrobin.com/rawdata/publicdatapools/

Cheers,
Rick.

Hi George. I've no idea where to find some CCD data, although no doubt
a member will let you have a go at some of his.
I've not seen any of your DSLR images on here, why not show us some?
Have you taken your DSLR to it's limits?

Hi Rick thanks for that mate, that's great.

Raymo, I have by no means pushed my DSLR to the limits but thanks to a newly installed street light that points straight into backyard I might have to move to narrowband.

I'll get a couple of images up now that I'm off work for a couple of weeks.

Cheers

Bugga the light !!
Any chance of getting the local council to put a sheild on it ? If you mention it's affecting your sleep, glaring in windows etc might be able to get some cover in your direction. Every little bit helps.

You may also like to add that studies have found that light at night can affect your health and that the council has a duty of care. The last three words usually get some action.

"Duty of care" I like that.... Will definitely try to get something done about it.

Does narrowband still get affected by bright street lights?

Most councils will install a directional shield on an offending street light,
but I think there is often a charge for doing it.

Raymo,
Probably worth asking the question though.
