Hi Folks
Still experimenting with the ZWO ASI 174 MM and various Powermates. Last night I grabbed some lunar avi’s and this morning sneaked in a couple of solar avi’s between the clouds.
The 120 fps really helped with the Sun this morning, as the breaks in the clouds were short lived so it was good to harvest 2000 frames at 120 fps.
Tak Mewlon 180, Televue x2 Powermate, ASI 174 MM camera.
Cheers

That's awesome Dennis. I'm getting really interested in those ZWO cameras. What are you doing to me. I'm trying to restrain myself for my new years resolutions. ... before SWMBO does it to me.

Great work Dennis,
Superb resolution.
p.s. My 174mm cooled has arrived, but the Melbourne weather is not co-operating (not unusual!).

Thanks Colin & Marc, I appreciate your comments.:)
Sorry Marc, but when the seeing is good, the Mewlon begs me to take it outdoors!;)
The ASI174MM is a great camera, although the ASI120MM has smaller pixels which can be useful at times.
I find that they are so simple to use (once you have mastered a capture program such as Firecapture) compared to my bulky, heavy ST2000XM with brick sized mains adapter, etc.
Cheers

Thanks John, when the seeing is very good, F24 and 4320mm fl is about the limit for the Mewlon 180.
Looking forward to some cooled 174MM with your rig when the weather improves!

Excellent work Dennis! I just got this camera too and am also finding it really forgiving when you're in the sucker holes.. the speed really helps. I've yet to even push it in ideal conditions.. very happy.

Thanks Derek and Andrew, I appreciate your comments. Not much chance of any Solar or Lunar shots over the next few days, unless I purchase a Radio telescope!
Wishing you and yours a peaceful and prosperous 2016.:)
Cheers
Dennis
