Yep! That's the deal. A colander. And you're a Pastafarian!. A member of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. What a hoot. I love a good ^&##-take and this seems to be right up there. It deserves a Google Search.:rofl::shrug:

Our Pasta

Our Pasta, who “Arghh” in heaven,
Swallowed be thy shame.
Thy Midgit come.
Thy Sauce be yum,
On top some grated Parmesan.
Give us this day our garlic bread.
And give us our cutlasses,
As we swashbuckle, splice the main-brace and cuss.
And lead us into temptation, But deliver us some Pizza.
For thine are Meatballs, and the beer, and the strippers,
for ever and ever.

I hope you're not making fun of my religion, Peter :mad2: Who's to say that one imaginary friend is less plausible than any other?

Which came first, the God or the egg and flour?

The Pastafarians have been around for ages. The was even an article a few years ago about a guy who won the right to wear the colander on his head in his passport photo as it was the official dress of his religion.

I have been blessed to be touched by his noodley appendage

I think this was the first one:

Ms Lindsay Miller from Massachusetts was the most recent.

Ahhh Rick. You - a closet Pastafarian - but I never saw you with a colander on the noodle - pardon the pun. Perhaps that would be a bit too "overt" - perhaps even a bit outre!! If only I had known. I would have offered to make the sauce any time.

They can't leave the colander until they are 'al dente'.

And with that simple statement Rick I believe that you have gone straight to the heart of the matter and summarised the key issue.

Through the holes in the colander?

RickS

Having demonstrated that you're broad minded about these things, Peter, we'll start the ceremonies before you go to bed next time. I might even show you my southern planisphere colander.

What would be the collective noun for a room full of Pastafarians? Pastaramii? Pastaratii? Passtapasta?
Inquiring minds need answers to these questions.

Question: Does the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster exclude those who are gluten intolerant? Is there no place for celiacs
These are more important philosophical questions that must be considered.
Could possibly lead to a breakaway sect possibly.

Not at all. Those who suffer from this affliction are comforted, and encouraged to appreciate just the meaty goodness of his meatballs and sauce.
There is no limit to the ways we may appreciate the FSM.

I have a gluten intolerant friend who is a pastafarian and is totally accepted and has been touched by the great Noodly appendage of the holist one :D

Thanks for that reassurance Ian. I was becoming concerned that the COTFSM may not be as holistic an organisation as first thought.

Do you have to jump through a lot of hoops to join, or do you just have to have a raviolition?

barx1963

Yes but since the Great Schism of 2006, the Reformed Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (RCOTFSM)has taken a much more fundamentalist line and regards Gluten Intolerance as a sign of the FSM's disapproval of those afflicted.
But the RCOTFSM are not real pastafarian's and are perverting the true word of the Noodly one!

This revisionism must cease. The CFSM is a corbohydrate and animal protein dogma which by its very nature excludes coeliacs. The very thought of buckwheat sends the strongest pastafarian into convulsions - as it should.

But I have discovered Russell's Teapot! In my search for the essence of the FSM, it has been made to appear to me - as in a vision splendid - that the true faith was pronounced by Bertrand Russell's discovery of a china teapot orbiting between Earth and Mars. And, as he bravely maintained, it is no more or less unproveable than any other mythology.

I urge all readers to explore Russell's Teapot. If you waver in your belief in the pasta deity, this may well fill the void.

What other colour would a pink unicorn be, silly??
:screwy:

jenchris
20-12-2015, 12:47 PM
Its aura is pink - meaning it has EMO.
Sounds very sane to me and unicorns are amazing rhinoceros adaptations (rhino meaning nose and ceros meaning horn) And if a unicorn had a reason to be called rhinoceros it would be somewhat lost in translation. (uni meaning one and corn meaning horn)

jenchris

There are a lot of very caring ex uk members. A real case of Pom adoro.
